OLP is committed to providing effective, customised storage solutions in a thorough and timely manner. This was highlighted in a job we completed for one of our resellers who had a contract to supply lockers to a leading private school in Victoria. The job involved the supply of 1108 customised, heavy-duty plastic lockers, selected for their strength and ability to endure any use and to withstand all environments.
The school required a large number of 2 and 4 door lockers for a change room. Heavy duty plastic lockers were identified as the perfect solution. Locker rooms are a breeding ground for bacteria. One of the best ways to prevent infectious bacteria from spreading in these high traffic areas and to ensure the good health of students is to regularly clean exposed surfaces such as floors and lockers. OLP’s heavy duty plastic lockers are made from High Density Polyethylene. HDPE is a rigid, high tensile strength material that is UV stabilised, waterproof and resistant to both hot and cold temperature extremes. However, what makes HDPE even more unique is that it is also chemical resistant, meaning lockers can be cleaned with strong chemicals designed to kill bacteria, without being damaged. OLP also customised its lockers to meet the needs of a locker room environment to eliminate bacteria build up. This included manufacturing the lockers to include ventilation holes for adequate airflow and drain holes, so the lockers could be washed regularly. Sloping tops were also needed to prevent items from being placed on top of the lockers as well as dust gathering. Sloping tops can be easily removed, allowing them to be cleaned regularly to prevent bacteria build-up.
The lockers were also supplied with number plates and locking mechanisms. OLP’s lockers come standard with a key lock or pad latch, but we are also able to supply a number of other unique locking options including coin locks, RFID locks and fingerprint locks. For this project, we supplied some lockers with a round combination lock and others with a digital lock, as requested by the client. The round combination lock is available with a master key control for emergency unlocking. The digital locks feature both private and public code functionally, making them ideal for use by multiple students throughout the day. Both lock types have the ability to be reset when required.
In all, we supplied 1108 heavy-duty plastic lockers with a mixture of 2 and 4 door configurations and of various colours including yellow, blue and red. Coming with a 20-year warranty, the school can rest assured knowing it has invested in a quality product which will provide the school with an adequate storage solution for many years to come. OLP worked closely with the reseller to ensure the lockers met the needs of the client and so they were delivered to the school on time.
